Exploring Celebrity reception in the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, Exeter, UK
In 2017 I was awarded an International Visiting Researcher Stipend at the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum @ the University of Exeter. I undertook this in January 2018. It was brilliant. I explored books I could not find online. I found cigarette and tobacco cards with glitter featuring celebrity actresses. Theatre programs. Post cards. Magazines. I cannot say enough how helpful Phil Wickham (curator) is. And how warm, supportive and seriously knowledgeable Peter Jewell is. Here is my blogpost:
